Fans Of Steel - Get Involved

One of the old cliches about sports teams is that a team is nothing without it's fans. And this is true - with no audience to play to, there'd be no point in playing (plus the financial implications of such things). And a fansite is the same. If we don't have the input of fans of the Steelers, and fans of the blog, whats the point?

So we want to involve you. We always want your opinions and input on what we write, and encourage you to write yourselves. But here's a new thing. Have a look at this sample, and send us your versions.

First Started Watching The Steelers: 2008

All Time Favourite Player: Joey Talbot. First player I had on the back of my shirt, and have only had my name on one since.

Current Squad Favourite Player: Robert Dowd. Always been a fan.

All Time Steelers Starting Six: Lehman; Munn, Frank; Legue, Dowd, Talbot.

One Player You Would Sign, Money No Object: Jonathan Toews. All-round perfection.

Best Game Attended: 9-4

Worst Game Attended: Steelers - a defeat in Edinburgh in 2010 (I think). Overall, the 3rd place game at the 2013 Playoffs was just awful.

One Change You Would Make To The On-Ice Product: I would give Doyle a break, when possible. If AJ isn't up to task, why is he in the team? Get in a worthwhile backup while Wooly's absence continues.

One Change To The Off Ice Product: I think they started doing this on Boxing Day - letting chants form organically during breaks in play, rather than there having to be music at every stoppage. More of this please.

Who Will Win The Silverware This Year? Belfast for the league, Panthers for the CC, us for the playoffs (keep believing).

Opinions on Doug: Yay Or Nay? I think there's a good coach in there, but for whatever reason it's not showing itself this year. I think he's bought himself a reprieve, but I would review at the end of the season.
