Brief Game Preview: @ Coventry (26/1/14)

So we won last night, a fairly convincing 5-2 victory/a lucky, referee-given fluke (depending which side of the Yorkshire border you live on). Another two points in the race for second, and onto a road game against the Blaze.

Coventry have hit a run of form of their own, winning the last 3 games. Not easy ones too, with a home win against Cardiff sandwiched between road wins in the NIC and a 6-1 demolition of Hull last night.

They will, however, be missing head donkey Benn Olson (hey, he ate the carrot, that wasn't us photoshopping), who has been ruled out until the end of the regular season as his hand injury has not healed correctly, and he has undergone surgery to correct this. He joins Shea Guthrie in the stands, who has had surgery on his broken finger. Kevin Harvey plays his last game before returning to the States having handed his notice in, while it is our first meeting with that scumbag swinger Kelsey Wilson. Gerome Giudice returns to the lineup after a considerable absence too.

Yesterday, news broke that Max Lacroix would play in place of Stefan Meyer this weekend, as the Bulldozer has been nursing an injury for a month and DC wanted to rest him. The injury picked up by Danny Meyers last night does nothing to change this, due to the import limit. Expect Tim Spencer to drop back into the D, and to roll with 9 forwards. I could be wrong, but i expect the 6 D to continue.

Prediction
Coventry 2-3 Sheffield. I think the physical presence of Meyer would have been nice tonight, but its still a very winnable game.
