Fallen Stars - CC 1/4F 2nd Leg Game Recap

A spirited fightback from the Dundee Stars brought the second leg to life, but in reality a comfortable passage into a meeting with the old enemy.
A spirited Dundee comeback, led by 2-goal Nico Sacchetti, gave the game a bit of a spark, but an early 2-0 lead killed off the cup tie, sending the Steelers through to the semi-final, and two more meetings with the small town near Derby.

The Stars brought the game level, coming from 5-2 down back to 5-5, before Nate Dicasmirro scored the winning goal with 4 minutes to go.

Max Lacroix returned to the lineup tonight, replacing the injured Steven Goertzen, and justified his selection with 1+1. Jeff Legue was awarded MOTM for 0+3, and Drew Fata chipped in with 1+2 (must have seen my words about him yesterday).

Score rundown: (Stars/Steelers)
0-1 Lacroix 4:52
0-2 Dowd (Legue, Fata) 9:57
1-2 #5 (37, 8) 10:59

1-3 Fata (Legue, Lacroix) 25:13
2-3 16 (29, 4) 29:06
2-4 Spencer (Kohn, Phillips) 38:49

2-5 Sirianni (Legue, Fata) (PPG) 46:23
3-5 8 (37, 24) (SH) 46:59
4-5 29 (5, 19) (PPG) 50:12
5-5 29 (16) 52:55
5-6 DiCasmirro (Sirianni, Langlais) (PPG) 55:48

All of which sets us up for two legs of a semi final against the N********m P******s.
