This weekend sees us take on the Cardiff Devils twice, with Saturday in the Motorpoint and Sunday in the Big Blue Tent - not many more visits there left now.
It seemed like I was going to have to report back on how we'd look very short this weekend, then we got a bit of good news.
Saturday should see the competitive debut of a certain Mr Ben O'Connor. The GB international has signed a short term deal as injury cover while awaiting a better offer from continental Europe, after being released by Arlan of Kazakhstan. This after being voted the league's best defenceman last year. Go figure.
Colton Fretter will return to the lineup after serving his one game ban.
Pascal Morency and Robert Dowd remain on the IR (do we have one of those?) with no specified return date as of yet. Luke Ferrara has two games with Peterborough this weekend so Cullen Eddy will fill in on offence.
As far as I'm aware, the Devils will be at full strength - at least on Sunday. Matt Myers will sit the second of a two game ban for a horrible check from behind on Saturday.
The Devils keep on causing teams plenty of problems, and while they're unlikely to be in the top 3 come March, you just never quite know. This weekend will be a good test of our credentials - the Devils are the only team to defeat us at home this year.
