Four point weekend last weekend and it doesn’t get
much better than that especially when your playing the top two teams. This
weekend we make the trip up to Scotland for a weekend in Glasgow as we face the
Braehead Clan on Friday and Saturday before a trip back to Sheffield to face
the Coventry Blaze at the Arena on Sunday.
Sheffield will be at full strength this weekend as new signing Danny Bois comes into the squad for his debut as Gerad Adams finally got Morency’s replacement, Sheffield are expected to be without Jason Hewitt who picked up a leg injury on Sunday and is expected to be out for 4 to 6 weeks and Import defenceman Dustin Kohn is also expected to miss 2 to 3 weeks through injury. Ferrara will most probably be with Peterborough who plays Milton Keynes and Telford on Saturday and Sunday. So were down two players for our three game this weekend and let’s be honest it’s going to be three tough games.
Braehead Clan
We take on the Braehead Clan twice this weekend on Friday and Saturday up in Glasgow which both promise to be good games as both teams have had a fantastic start to the season. Braehead are as they were last weekend and are full strength with no injuries for their two games against us this weekend as I’m sure they’ll be looking for a bit of revenge after Sunday.
Coventry Blaze
Blaze who parted ways with Head Coach Marc LeFebvre on Wednesday travel to the Arena to take on the Steelers on Sunday and will be without the injured Derek Lee and Mike Egener as former Steeler Steven Goertzen and Egener take control of Coventry as they look for a replacement for LeFebvre.
