Big Match Preview - Edinburgh (Away)

Time again to look ahead to the next game on the schedule.

After coming out of Dundee with a well taken regulation win and continuing the Omar Pacha effect, what is it now 22 wins over him, Steelers head back to Scotland in midweek to face another tough test. We face this side next:

Yes it's the Edinburgh Capitals, a team that has been completely revamped in the summer with a Russian revolution. They're coached by former NHLer Dmitri Khristich whose signing created quite a buzz around the Scottish capital when it was announced. He's recruited decently even though some of the results haven't gone their way. They have last season's surprise packet of Pavel Vorobyev in their roster again, and he will be certainly one to keep an eye as will Russian Sergei Banashkov who tops their scoring charts and possess decent numbers from the Kazakhstan league. Others to watch will be Slovakian Marek Tvrdon, and Canadians Dylan Anderson and Mike Cazzola.

We have had hard games in the past there, and to be honest that it's gonna be the same on Wednesday. If the Steelers settle into a pattern of play, and are defensively sound in their own zone, then they can come away with the points. But give the Capitals a sniff, they've got the capability in them to hurt you. Another solid performance is needed which we are more than capable of.

My prediction? Steelers to come away with the points but it will be a close call however. A battling 4-2 away win is how I see it ending. What about you?
