Sheffield 4-1 Dundee - Steelers Shoot Down The Stars

Rob Sirianni returned to form, Jeff Legue moved to within a point of the 500 club last night, scoring 2+1 as Sheffield put the Dundee Stars to the sword 4-1 at Ice Sheffield last night.

It was a night of things finally clicking for the Steelers, with Sirianni notching 4 points, the team converting 3 powerplay chances, and Frank Doyle only facing 16 shots all night.

It was also an impressive performance without the attacking talent of Robert Dowd, and the continued absence of Dustin Kohn.

Stefan Meyer returned to the lineup, and those at the game commented on how impressive he was throughout.

Legue opened the scoring at 15:53, converting a powerplay chance with assists from Nate Dicasmirro and Sirianni.

#71 made it two after 38 seconds of the second, with assists coming from Legue and Dicasmirro, again on the powerplay.

Nico Sacchetti pulled one back for Dundee at 23:12, but 6 minutes later Legue converted yet another powerplay opportunity, with another assist by Sirianni, and Chad Langlais providing the second.

Aaron Nell completed the scoring at 50:45, finishing off a 2 on 1, with assists from both Dicasmirro and Sirianni, capping off an impressive night for the ex-Italian imports.
