Game Preview - vs Dundee (15/1/14) - Challenge Cup 1/4 Final 1st Leg

We leave the battle for second place to one side briefly tomorrow night, and welcome Jeff Hutchins' Tayside army into the Motorpoint for the first leg of the Challenge Cup quarter final. In Sheffield, we play our two-legged ties over two legs.

Due to the underwhelming start to the season, Dundee are the higher seeds for this tie, hence the second leg being played in Scotland. A commanding lead to take north would be nice, lets see what we can do.

Team News
All present and correct for the Steelers, with everyone fit and present after Saturday's overtime win against Coventry.

Max Lacroix was the man to sit due to the import limit, his fitness will be checked before an assessment is made on him. We could do worse than to follow the old adage of not changing a winning team though, and perhaps saving him for Belfast on Saturday.

Dundee will welcome Canadian defenceman Dylan Quaile into their lineup, as he was announced as their 11th import on Monday evening.

Prediction
Home form has been good of late, in fact we haven't lost at home since early November, and I expect that to continue, even against a good, consistent Dundee team.

Liam's Prediction: Sheffield 4-2 Dundee

FYI: For those of you wondering where the Opposition Bench feature has gone (hello one person) I've taken the executive decision of leaving it until the summer, or at least until an end of season roundup.
