Steelers were on a four game losing streak in the league and were looking to stop that but it wouldn’t be this game as Nottingham ran out comfortable 4-1 winners. Nottingham took the lead at 12:36 when Doucet on his Nottingham debut tipped in front of Doyle after Robert Farmer fired a slap shot from the top of the right circle but Nottingham led 1-0. Nottingham made it 2-0 at 17:07 when Cody Wild fired past Doyle from just in front of goal after a fantastic shift by Robert Farmer he played Graham who playing Wild from behind the goal and all of a sudden it was 2-0 and Sheffield had a mountain to climb as they went into the break two goals down.

Nottingham extended their lead at 34:40 while 4v4 Graham was appealing for a penalty while he and Mosienko were tangled up but the ref said no and Baldwin just let Graham through as he was fed 1v1 and he deked and made Doyle make the move before slotting into the empty net and it was 3-0. It was very soon 4-0 and it was getting worse for the home side when Nottingham broke 2v1 and eventually Brandon Benedict put it into the empty at 39:37 and surely it was game over as it was 4-0 to the visitors at the break.

Sheffield managed to score one consolation just after 5v3 pp Modig made a magnificent save and then Stevie Lee blocked one at the line and we all thought if we couldn’t score there then we wasn’t going too but in the next attack at 51:14 O’Connor shot from the blue line and Mathieu Roy tipped in front of Modig and stole his shut out but Sheffield couldn’t pull anymore back and went down 4-1 to the Panthers next up for the Steelers was Blaze 24 hours later where Sheffield have to stop the slide.
