Elite Report - Week 28 Preview

Time once more to dust off the FSB crystal ball and make some hockey predictions. We're posting this on the night after Clan played the Storm, but if you follow us on Twitter then you will have seen our prediction for this particular game there. We'll repeat what we said below as well as look ahead to the other games.

An analysis of last week will appear later this week, quite possibly Friday or Saturday.

Wednesday 8 March 2017:

Braehead Clan v Manchester Storm: Of the two Storm need the points to arrest a dip in form, they'll get defeated in overtime though so only one point for you Pach.

Friday 10 March 2017:

Belfast Giants v Nottingham Panthers: What have Panthers got to play for this season apart from making the play-off quarter finals? They could upset Giants if they are "in the zone" but Giants want second. I fancy an upset though, Panthers in overtime.

Saturday 11 March 2017:

Cardiff Devils v Dundee Stars: Whilst Stars have been in a bit of form recently, I just can't see them stopping the red juggernaut. Another regulation home win for the Devils.
Coventry Blaze v Fife Flyers: Flyers know that a win here will almost cement their place in the top eight but Coventry will want to build on last Saturday. Blaze will burn Fife in regulation here.
Manchester Storm v Edinburgh Capitals: This could be a real blood and thunder game as both sides have ambitions of finishing in the top eight. Storm to edge this after overtime methinks.

Sunday 12 March 2017:

Belfast Giants v Nottingham Panthers: Second game in three days for these two. What happens on Friday could easily define Sunday. I'll go for a Giants regulation this time though.
Dundee Stars v Manchester Storm: A trip to Tayside beckons for the Storm in an away game that they know they have to win. Dundee are in form though. Stars after overtime in a close one I reckon.
Edinburgh Capitals v Fife Flyers: Probably a game that is so hard to call I wish I was able to sit on the proverbial fence. But I can't, someone has to win and that will be the Caps after a shootout.

There are your predictions, how do you see them unfold?
