5 Things We Learnt This Weekend - 5/10/14
Only one game for us to learn from this weekend, but plenty to take away with it.
1. If you ask really nicely, you can wrangle two-ways in your favour.
I don't know what strings were pulled, but Luke Ferrara played for us last night, despite Peterborough having a game against Milton Keynes. He didn't look out of place either - good shift Luke.
2. Powerplay goals are a thing
2 last night. 2. Half of our previous PP output. Improving, but still looking sloppy. Sounds obvious but if we're going to win things we need to improve it.
3. What rivalry?
It exists in the minds of fans and the owners. There's no evidence on ice of anything yet. Maybe there won't be for a while. Ah well. Here's hoping something kicks off with Hull so we can have a Yorkshire derby instead.
4. Tyler Mosienko is a workhorse.
I was determined not to like him, with his past. Screw his past. Incredible workrate last night, fought for every puck and capped off a superb performance with the ENG to ice the cake. Fully deserved, good show.
5. Other teams exist.
Shock of the century. We're branching out to cover the other Sheffield teams. If this is your bag, great. If not, then we still have Steelers stuff for you. Hello to any new readers we have.
