February was an interesting month plenty of points on the boards for the team and individual players and after all the votes have been counted the February player of the month with an extremely convincing win is!

So Far this season in 56 games Mathieu has scored a total of 83 points so far (35+48) and sitting 44 PIMs with 9 Game Winning Goals with 1.48 Pt/G and 0.79 PIMPG

Frozen Steel Player Of The Month - September 2014

Believe it or not, that's the first month of the season gone already! Summer dragged by so slowly and now it seems the season is flying by.

We've seen some great action throughout the league these past few weeks, some of which has come from our own boys in orange.

This month, we had a fair spread of votes. This may be because of the lacklustre performances some of you all suffered through, or maybe the team played about as bad as each other.

Thank you to the 14% of people who voted Andy Jaszcyzk's 1 minute clean sheet as worthy of the Player of the Month title. This is what happens when I let people vote with anonymity.

The first time we've 'given out' this 'award' (no award is actually given), so its another first.

We asked the good people of Twitter for their nominations for the Steelers' player of the month, and there was a runaway winner.
